Since his 1961 admission to practice before the Interstate Commerce Commission and the state and federal courts of Kansas, he spent 10 years representing business clients prior to becoming, in 1971, Chief Legal Officer, and subsequently, President, of a major publicly held Midwestern LTL motor carrier.
